Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions about BitePal subscriptions, billing, and your account.
How does subscription work?
BitePal subscriptions are managed by your app store account (Apple App Store or Google Play). You get access to premium features for the selected billing period (monthly or yearly), and billing is handled directly by the store.
Will my subscription renew automatically?
Yes. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
I already purchased BitePal — why is it asking me to pay again?
This usually means you are signed into a different store account than the one used for purchase, or your purchase has not synced yet. Confirm the correct Apple/Google account, then use Restore Purchases in the app.
Why was I charged an additional subscription?
Common reasons include starting a second subscription on another account, switching plans after a trial, or subscribing on both iOS and Android with different store accounts. Check active subscriptions in your store settings to confirm.
If I delete the app, will the subscription cancel automatically?
No. Deleting the app does not cancel billing. You must cancel the subscription from your App Store or Google Play subscriptions page.
How can I get a refund?
Refunds are processed by the store where you purchased. Submit a refund request through Apple or Google Play first. If you need help with the process, contact us and include your order receipt details.
How can I cancel my subscription?
Open your device subscription settings:
iPhone: Settings, then Apple ID, then Subscriptions
Android: Google Play, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions
Select BitePal and choose Cancel Subscription.

Why can't I find my subscription in the App Store / Play Store?
You are likely signed into a different Apple or Google account than the one used to buy. Switch to the original purchase account and check subscriptions again.
I bought the app — what should I do next?
Download/open BitePal, sign in with the same account tied to your purchase, and restore purchases if needed. Then you can start scanning meals and tracking calories right away.
How do I log into the app?
Log in with the same sign-in method you used during onboarding (Apple, Google, or email). If login fails, verify you are on the correct account and try restoring purchases again.
